Proof
Chris Benz Spring Ready to Wear 2010 collection is full of wearable garments for real women! Everyone is talking about it and I think he is spot on! The draping is ever elegant and the ensembles are easy and chic. Well done!

Full Frontal Fashion
Happy New Year! I celebrate the new year in September; I like getting all organized for school and the fabulous fall fashions. Sundance Channel is celebrating the season with dedicated programming that coincides with NY fashion week with original series, blogs, interviews and features dedicated to the wonderful world of fashion. One segment tells the story of fab leather goods from BILLYKIRK. They are really really nice and beautifully photographed, as well. There is so much more, so make sure you check it out when you turn on the cable.

Jacqueline Bisset
Wish Jackie Bisset a happy birthday - she's a groovy Virgo lady with a birthday coming up in a couple of days. I saw Jacqueline Bisset in the movie, Airport, when all those catastrophe movies appeared one after the other. Jackie is perfection as the heartless flight attendant; poor Helen Hayes! Ms. Bisset's heyday in the 70's culminated with the movie, The Deep. Her style is very easy and she always looks lovely in everything she wears - how you look is all about how you feel. She looks really beautiful and really happy. You go, Jacqueline, you go!

Share the Pear
It feels like Fall in the lovely mid Atlantic states. Whenever I think of Fall, I think of Jody, who loves both Fall and pears. I have a dream that when I move back to the left coast we will meet in Portland and drive to Pix Patisserie and share the Pear Rosemary Tart.
This is a gorgeous dessert for gorgeous, autumn loving women! I searched for the recipe and found a similar one on a favorite site, Sub Rosa (they love Pix, too!). Sub Rosa has a solid collection of recipes with utmost faithfulness to food and cheer in and around the Northwest, especially our beloved Portland.
The recipe is long, long, long, but worth every step, I'm certain.

Scary Stuff
We moved from the Seattle to DC for the second time, (this time with kids) in 1999. Shortly after we settled, we found ourselves in a wondrous world in White Post, Virginia, unlike anywhere we had ever been before, called Dinosaurland. It was one of those roadside attraction places that we found both strange and enchanting. These are the highlights when our loves were much younger than they are now.
It was decided that King Kong was not a dinosaur at all; but, loved to cradle youngsters in his hand.
The epic battle!
