Guy said he wanted to visit the ocean more often in 2013 and we resolve to do so. We walked in the sand at Newport Beach this New Year's afternoon. What IS the phenomenon when the atmosphere mirrors the sea? Is there a name for it? It was a dreamy sky with broken waves appearing to look like the broken clouds overhead. It felt like relief to be covered up and sheltered from the familiar bright, extraordinary light.
