Guy and I drove Seamus to the Mall the other night so he could have a meet-up with his friends from the west coast who visited DC for the ever-popular 8th grade trip. He hasn't seen most of them since we moved east and we were really pleased to live close by so we could connect with them. We never found the west coast kids. His pal texted him from the tour bus saying they were "driving from NYC to the Mall", and Seamus thought they meant "The Mall"...but the west coast kids never made it to the district that night; they were in the Mall at Pentagon City dining in a food court! Funny how 8th graders communicate...we decided to make the best of a lovely night with another tour of the monuments shining.
